Infrared SaunA

Sweating Has Never Been This Good

The high temperatures in saunas encourage sweating, which detoxifies your body, burns calories and increases circulation. Infrared saunas offer the same benefits, but without the discomfort of heated air. This therapy addresses a whole range of health issues from pain management to cardiovascular risks.

At Georgetown Sun Cryo, our Full Spectrum Thera Sauna offers our clients treatments at different levels: near, middle, and far. These levels refer to the varying sizes of infrared wavelengths with varied intensity, designed to target specific health benefits. Far infrared waves run between 6 to 14 microns, which is scientifically proven to stimulate the body's regenerative process.

Chronic Pain

Due to higher temperatures of far infrared levels, the body's core temperature increases, and with it comes faster blood circulation and an increased heart rate. The same phenomenon occurs when you're working out, which allows you to burn more calories as your body tries to lower your core temperature.

ANTI-AGING

The far-infrared level of our Thera Sauna therapy is intended for cosmetic and anti-aging purposes. It helps purify your skin by eliminating toxins from within, speeding up cell turnover, and enhancing circulation. The result is clearer and more radiant skin.

Athletic Recovery

Near-infrared levels are commonly used for wound healing and boosting immune function. The heat dilates blood vessels and capillaries, channeling more oxygenated blood to painful muscles and joints.

Chronic Pain

Chronic pain is a result of elevated levels of cortisol, the body’s stress hormones. Middle-infrared levels help promote detoxification by improving the flow of oxygen and blood in the lymphatic system and easing your muscle swelling and inflammation. The heat meanwhile brings an overall sense of calmness and relaxation throughout the body.

If you're new to infrared saunas, we recommend starting out with 30-minute sessions at 140 to 160 degrees Fahrenheit, and slowly working your way up to 40 minutes. For best results, we recommend clients undergo two to

three infrared sauna sessions weekly.
